1.        Introduction

1.1       Impact Culture Australia Pty Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) offers, among other things, an impact capability assessment on our website.  The purpose of the assessment is for organisations to self-assess how embedded impact is into their organisational culture.  Our assessment tool is available for use on our website, as a data platform.

1.2      When you use our website, in any way, all of our terms and conditions apply to you. By accessing and/or using our website you will be taken to have agreed to all of our terms and conditions.  If you undertake any of our self-assessments online, using our platform, you will also be taken to have agreed to the terms and conditions of our website.

2.       Our obligations

2.1       We will always do our best to make sure that our website works. However, by using our website, you agree that we are not responsible, in any way, for any times when our website is temporarily down or unavailable.

2.2       You agree that we may temporarily close down our website to perform maintenance work and/or updates. We may give you notice on our website and/or by email before we temporarily close our website to perform maintenance work and/or updates.   However, we are not required to give you such notice.

3.       Assessment & validation

3.1       You may be able to complete a self-assessment on our website.  We have named this self-assessment and the tool used – the Impact Capability Assessment Tool (“tool”).

Three types of assessments

3.2       There are 3 different types of assessments available to use on our website.  You can choose from any of the three options available, as follow:

3.2.1    free version – this is a short assessment with limited questions. After completing this assessment, you will receive a score and be placed into one of three different categories depending on your score. Also, your organisation’s score will be compared to the average for the sector.  When you use our free service only, you will not obtain access to any free or paid resources to improve the score you have obtained.  The free service also does not offer your organisation with any badge for its score.  Having completed the free version of our assessment and obtained your organisation’s score, you can, if you like, upgrade to either of our paid services.  You can upgrade your service at any time, within a 12-month period, or you will have to start again.

3.2.2    deep dive – this is our basic paid service involving a more comprehensive assessment containing all of the questions forming part of our assessment process. After completing this type of assessment, you will obtain a score and be placed into a category. Your organisation will also receive the sector average with their own score. The benefit of the deep dive option is that you will receive a tailored development plan for how you can improve in all areas you have scored badly. The development plan will include a range of free resources and paid services/workshops if you would like further assistance. The free resources include, without limitation, educational videos, articles and text book chapters.   For any paid services/workshops, we will suggest the services of trusted organisations, affiliates and partners.  Having completed the deep dive version of our assessment, you can, if you like, upgrade to our deep dive with verification service, for an additional fee.  You can upgrade your service at any time, within a 12-month period, or you will have to start again.

3.2.3   deep dive with verification – this is our premium service.  Our premium service includes the same assessment process and your will obtain access to the same resources and referrals to trusted organisations. The main difference between our basic paid service and our premium service, is that under the premium service, we will undertake a comprehensive verification of the responses you provide in your self-assessment in the assessment and examine the evidence and documentation we request from the user organisation.  As part of the verification process, we may contact staff members of your organisation, review internal policy and procedure documents, strategy manuals and/or any other documentation we determine necessary or useful. Once we have reviewed all of the information and documentation you have provided, we will score your organisation based on a matrix we have developed for this purpose.

Your obligations in completing assessment

3.3       The following are your obligations in completing an assessment using the tool on our website:

  • you must be at least 18 years old and understand the assessment and validation process;
  • you must be authorised to complete the assessment on behalf of your organisation.  You may wish to obtain your organisation’s prior written approval for this purpose;
  • you must represent a not-for-profit or similar organisation using the assessment only for your organisation’s legitimate purposes;
  • you must complete all responses in the assessment, truthfully, accurately, with full knowledge and to the best of your ability.  Importantly, you must disclose the size of your organisation, correctly;
  • you must obtain written consent from all individuals and organisations, whose personal information you plan to submit online;
  • you must always obtain the prior written permission or consent to upload any documents and/or third party or personal contact details on our website;
  • you must ensure that all uploads you make on our website are free from harmful content, malware and/or viruses;
  • you undertake not to share any information which we provide to you, as a result of your organisation’s assessment to anyone other than authorised personnel within the organisation for whom the assessment was completed.  All information and resources, we provide to you (including the assessment questions on our tool, videos and resources), is for your organisation’s sole and exclusive use, only; and
  • before submitting your self-assessment, online, please ensure that you have complied with and agree to all of our terms and conditions.

Our validation process

3.4       We will only validate your assessment, using our tool, if you select our premium service.  If you have selected our premium service, after you have completed your self-assessment online, we will review the assessment.  Our reviewers will consider all the supporting documents and evidence you have uploaded, against your responses in the self-assessment.  As part of our review process, we may also contact and interview, any contact persons whose details have been provided as part of your self-assessment.  We will also examine supporting documents and information which you have uploaded online.

3.5       Our validation process is entirely discretionary and final.  We are the sole arbiter of the validation process we undertake.  At the validation stage, your organisation’s score may be lower (or higher) than the score we verify.  We cannot guarantee that the score your organisation will obtain at the self-assessment stage and the verification stage will be the same in all instances.

3.6       If, at our sole discretion, we determine that an organisation is in the top two of the three categories, in our assessment matrix, then the organisation will receive a verification silver or gold badge.  We will not, however, be influenced, in any way, by an organisation, in deciding which badge an organisation should obtain.  Our decision to provide a badge to a particular organisation will be solely based on a comparison of criteria against an objective matrix which we have developed.

3.7       The badge your organisation will achieve from us may be used on proposals and tenders, displayed on the organisation’s website or used in recruitment advertisement to show the organisation’s focus on embedding impact into its culture.  However, we provide no warranty or guarantee, whatsoever, as to your organisation’s success at using the badge for its marketing, advertising or other promotional use.  Using a badge may or may not guarantee any endorsement or funding, for your organisation.

3.8       The badges we provide will generally be valid for a period of 2 years only.  However, we may, at any time, cancel or revoke a badge, if we find that for any reason the information that has been provided about an organisation in reaching an assessment is not accurate or complete.  While you may withdraw a request for verification of your self-assessment, once we have started the verification process of your organisation, we will no longer provide you with any refund of fees paid and/or reversal of the verification process.

3.9       You agree and accept that your entitlement to a badge and/or whether it is a silver badge or a gold badge is solely within our absolute and unfettered discretion.  You cannot force us, under any circumstances to change our decision about your score and/or your entitlement to a badge.

3.10     We are not liable to you, in any way, for our assessment of your score in our self-assessment tool and/or as part of the verification process.  You fully indemnify us and keep us indemnified for any resulting loss which may arise as a result of the score or badge your organisation obtains based on our tool.

3.11     You can only complete 1 self-assessment, using our tool, each calendar year.  You can save your self-assessment online, at any time, and come back to it.  However, you must complete the self-assessment within 12 months of having started it.  The data and information you provide online may be lost, if you fail to complete your assessment within a 12-month period.  We will not be held responsible for any loss of information and/or data, due to your failure to complete an assessment within a calendar year of commencing it.
